Important Notice

FieldReportsAI is a documentation tool. Reports generated by this platform are AI-assisted drafts based on information you provide. They do not constitute engineering advice, code compliance certification, or a warranty of any kind. All reports must be reviewed, verified, and approved by the licensed inspector of record before use.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the FieldReportsAI platform at fieldreportsai.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including inspectors, firms, and any personnel who access the platform.

2. Description of Service

FieldReportsAI provides a software platform that helps users create, manage, and export special inspection reports. The platform uses artificial intelligence to assist with report drafting based on field notes you provide. The AI-generated content is a draft tool only — it does not replace the professional judgment of a licensed inspector.

3. Disclaimer of Engineering Advice

FieldReportsAI is not an engineering firm and does not provide engineering, architectural, or construction advice.

The AI-generated report content reflects only the information you input. It does not:

  • Verify the accuracy or completeness of your field observations
  • Certify structural adequacy, code compliance, or workmanship quality
  • Substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified professional
  • Constitute a professional engineering opinion or sealed document
  • Replace the judgment, certification, or liability of the inspector of record

Reports generated through this platform must be reviewed and approved by the responsible licensed special inspector before submission to any authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), owner, contractor, or engineer of record.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of all field notes and data you enter
  • Reviewing all AI-generated content before use or submission
  • Ensuring reports comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Maintaining your professional license and certifications
  • Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential
  • All reports submitted under your name or firm's name

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FieldReportsAI and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Use or reliance on AI-generated report content
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in generated reports
  • Service interruptions, data loss, or system failures
  • Any project outcome, structural failure, or code violation
  • Actions taken by third parties based on reports created using this platform

Your use of the service is at your own professional risk. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all field notes, project data, and report content you create. By using the service, you grant FieldReportsAI a limited license to process and store your content for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your reports or use your content to train AI models.

The FieldReportsAI platform, software, and branding are owned by FieldReportsAI. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the platform itself.

7. Beta Service Notice

FieldReportsAI is currently in beta. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or data preservation during the beta period, though we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in misuse of the platform, or use the service for purposes other than legitimate professional inspection documentation. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with JAMS rules, or in the courts of competent jurisdiction in California.
